About Electripedia.us

Electripedia.us is an ongoing project sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – United States of America (IEEE-USA).  The goal of the project is to provide a hub for all matters related to the electricity life-cycle, in a straight-forward, user-friendly manner.  The site topics encompass electric generation, transmission, and distribution; fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural gas); nuclear power; renewable energy; electricity and energy policy; reliability and blackouts; and environmental impact of the electricity life-cycle (see full index).  We hope the site to be of high educational value to people of all ages and levels of experience.  Please do not hesitate to forward any comments, questions, or suggestions you may have.
